ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry while reacting to Lahore High Court (LHC) decision to grant bail to Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif said that the government and nation are disappointed over the decision.
The minister said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should challenge the LHC decision to release Shehbaz Sharif on bail.
He said that the court’s decision gave the message that influential people can get away despite committing crimes.
He asked chairman NAB to review the performance of its prosecution and investigation team as the cases initiated by the Bureau are not being taken to the logical conclusion.
It is to be mentioned here that the LHC on Thursday granted bail to Shehbaz Sharif in Ashiyana and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases. The court directed to release the opposition leader.
